Chuck Wagon Gathering and Fundraising Dinner October 20, 2018 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
Enjoy a variety of working chuck wagons from across the region as dinner is prepared in cast iron cookware. Daytime activities are FREE with museum admission. Wagons will demonstrate wood fire cooking throughout the day. Straka Longhorns will be here so saddle up and take your photo on a longhorn. Evening meal tickets are $20 for adults and children ages 12 and older and $12 for children ages 5-11. Dinner will begin at 5:00 pm and include chicken fried steak, potatoes, beans, biscuits, and cobbler prepared at the Chuck Wagons, as well as musical entertainment featuring Cowboy Jim Garling. Tracing Your Roots Series
The Chisholm Trail Museum will offer a series of classes designed to teach individuals genealogy skills and resources from the basics through advanced research. Topics include beginning genealogical research, record keeping, use of census records, accessing newspapers, American Indian genealogical research, accessing Oklahoma Historical Society archival information, identifying tools for success, and more. The class will be led by Laura Martin, Deputy Director of the Oklahoma Historical Society Research Center.

Intermediate Genealogy June 27, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00
Advanced Genealogy October 26, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00
