Ice Cream Social What: Join us at the Seay Mansion on July 14, 2018, for our first Mansion Ice Cream Social. We will provide the ingredients and you provide the muscle for homemade ice cream treats. Bring a lawn chair and get to know your neighbors as you enjoy delicious frozen treats. This event is free; however, donations will be accepted. Available while supplies last. Museum Camp out - CANCELLED What: Join us at the Chisholm Trail Museum on August 4, 2018, for the Museums first urban camp out. Campers can arrive beginning at 6:00 p.m. During this family-friendly event, participants will spread out their bedrolls on the museum grounds and participate in activities such as dancing, traditional games, music, storytelling, and roasting hot dogs and s’mores. Dress for the weather and bring a lawn chair for each camper. Registration is required and one adult chaperone is needed for every six children. Cast Iron Cooking What: Join us at the Chisholm Trail Museum on September 15, 2018, for Dutch Oven Cooking. In this causal fun class, students will learn to care for cast iron cookware and then create a Dutch Oven delight of their own in small groups. We will explore historical and modern recipes as we learn how to cook in our backyards with cast iron. All materials provided for the class. Please dress for the weather, wear closed toed shoes, and bring a lawn chair. Registration is required. Please contact the museum at 405-375-5176 to reserve your place. When: September 15, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Where: Chisholm Trail Museum Who: Adults and children 10 and up. Cost: $25 per person or $40 for pairs.

Chuck Wagon Gathering & Fundraiser Dinner What: Join us at the Chisholm Trail Museum on October 20, 2018, for our first annual Chuck Wagon Gathering & Fundraiser Dinner. From 10:00 – 3:00 visitors can check out a variety of working chuck wagons from across the region and watch cast iron cooking at its best. Our annual fundraiser dinner will begin at 5:00 p.m. and includes chicken fried steak, potatoes, beans, biscuits, and cobbler prepared by the chuck wagons as well as live musical entertainment featuring Cowboy Jim Garling. Daytime activities are free with Museum admission. Evening meal tickets are $20 for adults and children over 12 and $12 for children over 5. Meal tickets must be purchased in advance. Please contact the museum at 405-375-5176 to reserve your place. When: October 20, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Chuck Wagon Dinner from 5:00 – 7:00.
