Chuck Wagon Gathering
What: Join us at the Chisholm Trail Museum for a day filled with cowboy fun. Drop in and see a variety of working chuck wagons from across the region as they prepare some of their favorite dishes. Activities include live music, cooking demonstrations, gunfights, Wild West Show performers, Medicine Man shows, Annie Oakley performances, and more. Activities run from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. When: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. for free activities. Dinner will be served noon for ticket holders. Barn Quilt Workshop
What: Join us at the Chisholm Trail Museum on June 11 for our summer Barn Quilt Workshop. Barn quilts, which are square-shaped boards painted to resemble a quilt block and are placed on any structure, have evolved into a rural development initiative to boost tourism in communities. OSU Extension Educator Lindy Hoel will lead the workshop where each participant will complete their very own Barn Quilt to proudly display at home. Please contact the museum at (405) 375-5176 to reserve your place. When: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. June 11, 2022 Where: Chisholm Trail Museum Who: Adults or teens with a parent Cost: $40.00 (lunch included) **Payment must be received to secure registration. Cast Iron Cooking
What: In this casual, fun class, participants will learn to care for and cook in cast-iron cookware. Participants will create a Dutch oven delight and participate in a group meal. The class will explore historical and modern recipes while learning how to cook in your backyard. All materials needed for the class will be provided. This class is restricted to adults and children ages 10 and older. The cost for the class is $25 per person, or $40 per pair, and preregistration is required. When: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. November 5, 2022 Where: Chisholm Trail Museum Who: Adults and children over the age of 10 with an adult. Cost: $25.00 per person or $40.00 per pair. **Payment must be received to secure registration. Registration is limited to 30. |
